Guild Wars has finally gone LIVE! We're all currently trying to get our characters back up to speed for PvP, so you can catch many of us in game most of the time.

The final beta weekend is here!

Big interface changes have been made for this one and it looks a lot cleaner and more consistent throughout. We'll be checking out the areas later on this weekend!

Then it finally goes live on the 26th!

Looks like GW is hitting the streets on April 27th for all the pre-order folks and 28th for all others!

ArenaNet™, creators of the highly anticipated online roleplaying game Guild Wars®, and NCsoft® Corporation, the world’s leading developer and publisher of online computer games, today announced that Guild Wars will be available at retail in North America and Europe on April 28, 2005. Players who preorder Guild Wars will be able to use their preorder access codes to start playing the full game on April 27, 2005.

We'll be definitely looking forward to this!

The next Beta Weekend Event will begin at approximately 12:01 a.m. PST (08:01 GMT) on Friday, February 18th. We are expanding what we offer in this event to include something fresh and novel: A new region of Tyria. We know that the chance to see, explore and play in this new region will answer a lot of the feedback we've been receiving, both about content and the gameplay experience. And as always, we will look forward to fan feedback on our fansite forums about the new region in the form of comments, suggestions, and bug reports.

Here comes the 3rd Guild Wars Beta Weekend Event! Scheduled to start on January 7th but it could start a bit sooner like the last one.

ArenaNet just made an announcement regarding the ladder abuse that happened during the last beta weekend event. It should be interesting to see what place we end up at. Here's the story straight from the GW site:

The second Beta World Event is coming up fast, and we're preparing all of the new builds we've been brainstorming and trying for a small portion on this weekend's event.

We will also be emphasizing Guild Warring in order to make a huge mark on the ladder and we currently stand at (fun and games) 12-1 and 63rd on the ladder.

We will be changing our guild name permanently to grid05 this weekend and will have to re-establish our place on the ladder.
